Tender

Foxfield Primary School is proud to be an active participant in Tender, an initiative dedicated to promoting healthy relationships among young people.
Through Tender's primary school programmes, Foxfield Primary School engages children in age appropriate, creative workshops. Using drama, games, and interactive activities, the programme helps children understand the foundations of healthy relationships. Our children learn about:
- Recognising how to treat others and how they should expect to be treated.
- Understanding personal space and learning how to say "no" as well as respecting when others do.
- Developing healthy ways to express anger, frustration, or sadness without resorting to bullying or aggression.
- Promoting inclusivity and understanding fairness among peers.
Our children have participated in the Tender and their RE:SET programme (Relationships Education: School’s Equality Toolkit), which is a mentorship programme and online toolkit designed to help primary schools explore, adapt and reset their relationships education across the whole school. Through exploring healthy friendships, the children were empowered with the skills to recognise and build respectful, empathetic connections with others, to know their rights, and understand how to seek support if they feel unsafe.

RE:SET Healthy Relationships Champion Setting
At Foxfield Primary School, we are immensely proud to sustain our status as a Healthy Relationship Champion Setting through our continued dedication to the national RE:SET programme. The deep-rooted legacy of this project continues to shape our entire school community, empowering our staff with a robust toolkit to manage children's emotional well-being and giving our pupils the confidence to speak out, recognise peer pressure, and celebrate what makes a relationship healthy. Through weekly Relationship and Health Education (RHE) lessons, assemblies, our children are fully equipped to reflect on their own behaviour and confidently articulate their feelings. We actively promote this culture of safety through visual tools like the Zones of Regulation and restorative "Chance to Chat" boxes in every classroom, allowing children a secure outlet to request a trusted adult's support whenever they have a worry.
Our commitment to healthy relationships reaches far beyond the classroom walls and deep into the fabric of our family partnerships. We continuously engage our parents through early-years Stay and Play sessions, RHE policy briefings, Year 6 curriculum previews, and interactive "Keeping Your Child Safe Online" workshops. By building this high level of transparency and trust, we have created a safe haven where families and children feel secure. Foxfield remains an incredibly nurturing, trauma-responsive environment where positive connections, mutual respect, and emotional safety are at the heart of everything we do.
